Welcome to my online workshop series for intermediate to advanced string players looking for ease with improvisation and alternative-genre performance. In these courses, you will expand your musical vocabulary, learn to listen differently, and build confidence in creating your own original input in any improvisation setting.

Music is such a fulfilling and important tool for connection -- break down the mental and physical hesitation holding you back from living your dreams as an improviser and participating in live improv jam settings. We all have the ability to improvise with confidence -- let's get started!

“Thanks to Natalie, being super organized and articulate, I now have a very good idea as to how to practice and what I should work on. Before the workshop, I had no clue where I would start.”

“Overall i loved the class, i would say i definitely got what i was hoping for out of it, which was the confidence to start approaching improvising, and i'm continuing to integrate that into my daily practice which is awesome!!”

“ It was great, and Natalie is great (and super organized)!!”

Hi, I'm Natalie!

I'm an active multi-genre, touring cellist that has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with several of my most favorite artists, including Disturbed, Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, 2 Cellos, Cage the Elephant, Amy Grant, Johnny Mathis, the Trans Siberian Orchestra and more.

While I pursued a formal music performance (classical) education, I simultaneously was also surrounded by eclectic music influences (prog rock, folk, metal) that really shaped my own voice as a performer and the way that I meaningfully connect with others through music on a daily basis. The range of genres and versatility I've developed in my own playing significantly adds to my overall joy as a human and ability to positively collaborate with others -- and I want to connect with you, too! Let's expand our musical vocab -- let me show you the ropes and introduce you to some seriously fun and meaningful music-making.
